The world of the film revolves around a unique musical instrument and tells the extraordinary story of a violin that goes through all the horrors of war. The story begins in a violin workshop, where a violin is created in the early 20th century as a gift for a Jewish boy, and it concludes many years later with a concert at the Western Wall.

The production of the film took over a year. Filming took place in Moscow, New York, Brest, Prague, Minsk, and concluded in Jerusalem, in accordance with the plot of the film.
PREMIERE AND RECOGNITION
The film was a contender for the Academy Award in the category of "Best Live Action Short Film" for 2017 and was also part of the short film competition program at the 39th Moscow International Film Festival, where its world premiere took place. In the same year, the film was nominated for the Golden Eagle Award in the category of short films. "Violin" also participated in and won several film festivals, including the Near Nazareth Film Festival (Israel), the Snake Alley Festival Of Film (USA), the Russian Film Festival "Break for Cinema," and others.
