War and racial laws separate a German Shepherd named Brutus from his beloved owner. Sent from a kennel to a concentration camp as a guard dog, through manipulation, training, and conditioning, the once harmless domestic pet transforms into a beastly killer.

The film is based on the story by Czech writer Ludvik Ashkenazy. The filming took place in Russia, Romania, and Belarus. Cinematographers from Russia, Israel, USA, Romania, and Belarus were involved in the production.
PREMIERE AND RECOGNITION
The world premiere of the film "Brutus" took place as part of the short film competition program at the 38th Moscow International Film Festival. The film was a contender for the Academy Award in the category of "Best Live Action Short Film" for 2016, and it was also nominated for the Golden Eagle Award in the category of "Best Short Film" for 2016. "Brutus" won numerous awards at Russian and international film festivals, including the International Film Festival in Nevada, the International Scandinavian Film Festival (Finland), the "Fathers and Children" Film Festival, and others.
