PLOT
Maris is a village fool, raised by his older brother. Following his brother's lead, he leaves the peaceful village and enlists in the military. There, he meets a young woman named Leah, condemned to death. Through her eyes, Maris sees himself. For Leah and for all who will encounter his name in the archives in the future, Maris will remain a murderer.

FILMING
The filming of the movie took place in western Belarus during the pandemic. Villages were found for the film that visually resemble those typical of the Baltic region.
PREMIERE AND RECOGNITION
The film premiered in the Tiger Competition of the International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2022. In Russia, the premiere took place in the international competition of the 16th Andrei Tarkovsky International Film Festival "Mirror," and the film received the award for "Best Cinematography" at the Minsk International Film Festival "Listapad".
